McDonald's Olympics (2024)

Carlos “Caloy” Yulo, the Philippine representative in gymnastics, achieved a remarkable feat by winning two Olympic Gold medals--a historic first for the Philippines. To celebrate, we conceptualized a post for his two gold medals, and it was posted after 30 minutes of his win.

With the success of the post, we received a special shoutout from a renowned columnist of The Inquirer Philippines:

“McDonald’s, in my opinion, wins over Jollibee by inverting its trademark golden arches on a red field, transforming them into two ribbons from which two Olympic gold medals hang. Bold. Simple. Classy. It is a meme that National Artist Arturo Luz would award a gold to for minimalism.” — Ambeth R. Ocampo, The Inquirer
Caption translation: Twice Ours. Thanks, Caloy!
We also created a social post for Ej Obiena--the Philippine representative for pole vault! This post achieved the highest number of likes and interactions on McDonald’s social media platforms, with several netizens praising the visual design. Caption translation: You lifted everyone up. Thanks, EJ!
